Certificate of Warranty
- We offer a standard warranty of 90 days on mechanical parts from date of invoice.
- Warranties are not transferable.
- Extended warranties are available for most parts at an extra cost.
- Any extended warranty work must be presented to us in form of a written estimate, and be submitted to us prior to the work to be performed. Labor warranties are paid up to $45.00 per hour and reimbursements will not exceed $400.00 regardless of labor cost.
- There will be no reimbursements given for any labor charge, part replacement, or any other costs resulting in the purchase of our parts, unless a labor warranty has been purchased with the part.
- Capital City Auto Recyclers will not be responsible for any costs resulting from the purchases of our parts, including but not limited to any lodging, towing, rental vehicles, or labor.
- "Pre-Installation Maintenance Tags" must be complied with to insure complete warranty coverage.
- Any claims will be required to have proper maintenance and receipt documentation for the parts installed.
- In the event there is a problem with an engine or transmission, please contact us prior to removal or repair of the part(s). We reserve the right to inspect our parts for warranty replacement and have the labor performed at the facility of our choice. We reserve the right to replace part at our discretion.
- Used engines are guaranteed against excessive smoking, rod knock, and excessive oil consumption.
- Used engines are not warranted against oil leaks. Gaskets,seals and filters must be replaced to insure warranty coverage. Customer responsible for maintaining proper fluid levels.
- A proper tune-up should be completed upon installation, including but not limited to spark plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor.
- External engine parts such as exhaust manifolds, intake manifolds, distributors, coils, sensors, fuel injection components, water pumps, hoses, and belts are not warranted. We provide these for installation convenience.
- Timing belts, chains, gears, tensioners, idlers, gaskets are not warranted and must be replaced to insure warranty coverage.
- Any claims resulting from improper installation, abuse, accident, improper maintenance, parts used for commercial, racing, or industrial use will void all warranty coverage.
- Automatic Transmissions are warranted against slippage, and in good working order. Many vehicles may require reprogramming or computer codes cleared for part to work properly.
- Improper installation such as improper cable adjustment, damaged pump, low fluid levels, improper fluid types, improper installation, failure to install new transmission filter kit,seals,gaskets will void all warranties. Automatic Transmissions are sold without any filter installed.
- Transmissions are not warranted against fluid leaks, seal and gasket replacement is necessary for warranty coverage.
- Flushing of transmission lines, coolers must be done prior to installation.
- Manual Transmissions are guaranteed to be in working condition, they must have new clutch, throw out bearing, pilot bushing, seals installed upon installation. Gear damage will be considered as damage caused by abuse of part.
- All engines and cylinder heads come with heat tabs installed, warranty is void if heat tabs are melted, removed, or tampered with.
- Capital City limits its liability to the value of the cost of goods sold. We will not be responsible beyond the value of defective parts, or goods.
- All returns may be subject to a 25% restocking fee.
- All freight/shipping charges will be paid by buyer, buyer will be responsible for shipping from refused items. Special orders from other recyclers are not returnable unless it is a mechanical warranty item.
- All cores must be returned in the same condition as part purchased, drained of all fluids or part will be subject to a $25.00 environmental fee.
- Capital City is not responsible for any injuries, accident, damages, additional costs or death resulting form the purchase of their parts or goods sold.
- All tires are sold as is with no warranty implied, purchaser assumes any and all risks associated with the purchases of used tires. Used tires are non-refundable.
- All airbags and airbag components are sold "as is", non-returnable, the purchaser assumes any risks associated to any incorrectly installed airbags. Including risks of personal injury or death. The installer of a recycled airbag is required to test the airbag system to insure proper functions.
- Suspension components such as tie rods, ball joints, bushings, are not covered under warranty and should be inspected by installer prior to installation.
- All returns must be returned within 30 days of purchase. Parts must be undamaged, and in same condition sold. Core charges are refundable if returned within 30 days. We reserve the right to inspect returned parts and accept them at our own discretion.
- Body sections that have been cut for an order are not returnable or refundable.
- All electrical parts are as is no return or warranty guarantee. Engine/Transmission Computers, Electronic Modules, Radios may require reprogramming by dealer or qualified mechanic to insure proper function. Capital City Auto Recyclers will not reimburse for any additional costs resulting from the purchase of these items.
- Any return, core charge, warranty claim must be accompanied with our company receipt documentation.
